In Europe, 7 million tons of textile waste are produced annually
The textile and fashion industries are among the most polluting around the globe and produce millions of tons of waste annually. Fast fashion, in particular, attracts consumers with low prices and continuously new collections, aiming to sell more garments that are consequently worn fewer times than before and soon thrown away. According to Gute Nachrichten vom Planeten, only in Europe, every year, 7 million tons of textile waste are landfilled.
According to Arte, COREVA™ is good news for our planet
The broadcast wanted to prove to their audience that it is possible to produce in a different way and showed companies, researchers, and activists designing or using more responsible methods to make clothing. COREVA™, the technology we patented to produce the world's first biodegradable and compostable stretch denim, is among them.

80% of today’s jeans are stretch and hence contain a stretch yarn, conventionally the petrol-based elastane, which needs hundreds of years to degrade and releases microplastics into the environment during its life cycle. COREVA™ fabrics replace this stretch yarn with a natural rubber one, which complies with the European standard for biodegradability, eco-toxicity, and compostability.
