Candiani Denim has been honored with the Todo.it AWARD in the Manufacturing section. This non-profit association focuses on a different sector each year, and for 2024, it has chosen to recognize the achievements in the fashion industry. The award ceremony took place on Wednesday, May 22, at the Riccardo Catella Foundation in Milan and also included the recognition of Phillacolor and C.L.A.S.S.
What is the Todo.it AWARD?
Todo.it is a non-profit association aimed at companies, managers, and professionals who are dedicated to promoting their best practices and projects that benefit the environment and communities.
The Todo.it AWARD, promoted by www.todoit.it, aims to celebrate those who operate in line with the values of the circular economy, respecting the environment and fostering a virtuous cycle of products, materials, and raw materials. Each year, a specific sector is chosen for recognition. In 2023, the focus was on the food sector, and in 2024, the fashion industry, in which Italy excels, was highlighted.
“In a competitive and global context, Italian companies continue to thrive with ‘kindness’ and a DNA of elegance and creativity, recognized as unique worldwide. Todo.it highlights and rewards the efforts of small, medium, and large businesses committed to sustainability,” said Emanuela Vavassori, the association’s president.
Phillacolor and C.L.A.S.S. were also awarded
The Todo.it AWARD 2024 ceremony on May 22 honored three winners:
- Candiani Denim won in the Manufacturing section for its pioneering vision of sustainability. The company was recognized for being one of the first to adopt organic practices in the denim sector, traditionally known for its high environmental impact due to water and chemical usage in production
- Phillacolor was awarded in the Emerging section for its sustainable dye brand that promotes sustainability across the entire supply chain. The brand offers a well-documented selection of raw materials, reduces water consumption, minimizes toxic waste, and is suitable for domestic use
- C.L.A.S.S. received the Sustainability Ambassadors award for its efforts in scouting companies producing sustainable raw materials and connecting ideas in a network promoting a sustainable economy with an educational and training approach
This award ceremony was organized under the patronage of:
- Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy
- Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forestry
- Lombardy Region
- Municipality of Milan
- Confcommercio Lombardia
The event, held at the Riccardo Catella Foundation, featured a round table moderated by journalist Maria Soave.
