Among our 2025 collaborations with schools, the partnership with NID (Nuovo Istituto Design), founded in Perugia in 1983, stands out. Students from two programs were involved: those in the three-year Fashion Design degree program and those in the Master’s program in Styling & Fashion Photography. We are pleased to have collaborated with this esteemed institution to provide future professionals in the fashion industry with the opportunity to work directly with the materials they will use. Let’s take a look at their fantastic work.

Reverse Denim for Candiani

For 25 years, NID has showcased women’s and men’s collections designed by Fashion Design students on the steps of Palazzo dei Priori in Perugia. These students are responsible for entirely designing, cutting, and sewing their garments and accessories.

During the XXV NID Fashion Show, Fashion Design students participated in a contest organized in collaboration with the institution. Under the guidance of our Global Marketing Director, Simon Giuliani, participants were supported throughout all stages of the project, from selecting the best ideas to refining the final paper patterns, prototypes, and finished garments.

The result is a meticulously crafted line for both men and women made from our denim fabrics. This collection includes tailored pieces such as dust coats, jackets, trenches, and pants, all complemented by bags made from leftover fabric scraps from the sewing process.

Styling & Fashion Photography

Students from the Styling & Fashion Photography program used garments made from our innovative COREVA™ fabrics for a photoshoot guided by photographer Vincent Urbani, who provided an overview of the project.

“Every story has a beginning, where its roots run deep to define its identity, its strength, and the power needed to reach toward the future. The intertwining of tradition, history, and labor unites the protagonists of this tale: three different generations bound by the same narrative thread. A story of toil, dedication, love, and unity; a story that speaks of the sense of protection and belonging to the land. It is the rediscovery of rural life as the solid core of a community that loves to tell its story, to share, to pass on, to endure, and to continue to exist.”
