Clarks is turning 200, and they want to celebrate with us, too! From December 2 to December 9, the Candiani Denim Store will host a special pop-up of the British brand, showcasing a limited-edition customization project for the popular Clarks Originals.

What to expect from the Clarks pop-up

From December 2–9, our Candiani Denim Store at Piazza Mentana 3 in Milan will host a pop-up to celebrate Clarks’ 200th anniversary, mixing English heritage with Italian craftsmanship. We have a special bond with Clarks, sharing a love for artisanal work and a commitment to innovation. That’s why we’re excited that Clarks chose our space for this milestone celebration with their Italian fans.

The pop-up will highlight the brand’s history, showcase its iconic styles, and feature the people who shaped Clarks’ identity over the years. Plus, there will be a screening of the documentary “From Somerset to the World” on our big screen. Throughout December, visitors can snag Wallabees and Desert Boots from the Clarks Originals line and even get them customized in our workshop for a chance to create a unique, limited-edition pair that stands out!

The Candiani & Clarks limited edition

This customizable limited edition was designed to combine our tailoring know-how with Clarks’ shoemaking heritage, offering a creative twist on classic styles, giving them a contemporary vibe.

At Candiani, you can really make these Clarks your own with a custom denim FOB, the signature triangular tag from Clarks Originals. Plus, you can have your patterns and designs laser-engraved right onto the shoe, all done at the Candiani Custom micro-factory.

Don’t miss the event on Thursday, December 4!

On Thursday, December 4, starting at 6 PM, everyone’s invited to the Candiani Denim Store to join in the celebration of Clarks’ 200-year anniversary! It’s a great chance for both our community and the Clarks family to come together, check out the brand’s history and iconic shoes, and connect over the values we share and the customization project—just in time to kick off the festive season.

From Street to the world: the story of brothers Cyrus and James Clark

In 1825, brothers Cyrus and James Clark from Street, Somerset, came up with a slipper made from scraps of sheepskin leather. It was a revolutionary concept back then, showing off their creativity and craftsmanship, two traits that still define the Clarks brand today, which is still based in the shadow of Glastonbury Tor.

Over the years, Clarks has built up a massive collection of more than 22,000 shoe styles, creating footwear that has followed generations around the world. Some popular models include the Desert Boots designed by Nathan Clark, which turned 75 in 2025, and the Wallabee, loved by many subcultures from rockers to skaters.
