The new Alberto Candiani x Velasca capsule collection features three products: a jacket, pants, and a bag. Each item is crafted from the exclusive fabric that is also available at our micro-factory, where you can design your own made-to-measure Velasca’s Millesimo.
This selvedge fabric is made from 100% regenerative cotton and perfectly reflects the values of craftsmanship, quality, and Italian-made excellence that we share with Velasca. It is the most authentic form of denim, woven on vintage shuttle looms to create a compact edge with a white base and red stitching. This design originally prevented the fabric from fraying and is now rare and highly sought after by denim enthusiasts.
Saia
The Saia model, available in two shades, is inspired by the jackets worn by aviators in the 1920s. This bomber-style jacket features ribbed cuffs and hem, and Velasca has given it a contemporary twist by adding a shirt-style collar for a more sophisticated appearance.
The jacket includes two generous patch pockets on the front, which were added after the garment was constructed and feature hidden snap buttons. White thread topstitching along the seams enhances the jacket’s durability and highlights the contrasting elements. The zipper is made of galvanized aged brass, providing both a delicate look and lasting strength. Additionally, the selvedge is visible on the inner seams of the yoke.
Vinci
Vinci is a pair of selvedge jeans with tailored lines, available in three shades. The selvedge is visible on the inner seams, so we recommend wearing the jeans with a cuff at the hem to highlight their most distinctive feature. These jeans undergo a rinse wash, which is a quick process designed to remove excess indigo. This treatment softens the fabric, enhances its resistance to shrinkage, and preserves its natural and authentic beauty.
Zena
The Zena denim bag features a removable grosgrain shoulder strap made from a durable fabric. It includes an internal zip pocket and additional compartments with zip and magnetic button closures. All metal details are galvanized, providing a delicate yet durable finish. The selvedge is visible on the inner seams, while the handles, base, and trims are crafted from smooth leather, showcasing the artisanship of Velasca. The Zena bag can be used at full capacity or compressed for a more compact shape, thanks to practical side buttons.

The Milanese brand Velasca was founded in 2013 by Enrico Casati and Jacopo Sebastio to showcase high-quality Italian craftsmanship, initially focusing on footwear and later expanding into clothing.
