The Candiani Denim Store, located at Piazza Mentana, 3, in Milan, represents an exciting step into the retail and B2C sectors for us. As established producers of high-quality denim, we were pleased to introduce our exclusive limited-edition collections made in collaboration with clients who have consistently chosen Candiani’s denim fabrics over the years. Our store has yet evolved into a dynamic space that fosters creativity and connection. With initiatives like Candiani Custom, where you can design your own denim pieces, and Candiani Corner, featuring a curated selection of our best products, we aim to meet a variety of customer needs. Additionally, our barbershop provides a convenient spot for grooming, enhancing your overall experience.

A denim store with ancient roots

Our store is situated in the historic Cinque Vie district, a charming area that dates back to the Roman Empire, making it the oldest neighborhood in Milan. Visitors can still admire remnants of opulent buildings and impressive architecture. This vibrant area not only showcases historical sites but is also a hub for contemporary culture, featuring a variety of art galleries, bars, restaurants, and shops dedicated to crafts, clothing, and design. It serves as an essential destination for enthusiasts of history, art, fashion, design, and antiquities while also being a lively spot for Milanese nightlife.

Candiani has a rich heritage deeply intertwined with Milan, one of the world’s fashion capitals. Since 1938, we have been based in Robecchetto con Induno, located just 40 kilometers from Milan. The dynamic Milanese fashion scene and the presence of prestigious fashion houses have significantly shaped our approach to aesthetics, quality, and research and development.

The Candiani Denim Store opened its doors in 2019, functioning as a collaborative space for exclusive partnerships with premium denim brands that utilize our fabrics. As the store evolved, we have committed to partnering with brands that share our dedication to high-quality and sustainable practices and broadened our offerings to include essential items that complete the perfect denim outfit, such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, and jackets.

An all-round denim store

Our store continuously evolves to provide clients with an enriching experience that embodies Italian denim culture and style. In 2021, we launched Candiani Custom to offer made-to-measure jeans, and in 2024, we opened Candiani Corner next to our original store and enhanced the customer experience further with a barber corner added to the original location. In 2025, we expanded our offerings to include a new selection of custom jeans.

Candiani’s made-to-measure jeans

We have pioneered the first urban micro-factory for made-to-measure jeans, focused on a manufacturer-to-consumer model that transforms the conventional industrial jeans-making process into a unique experience right in the heart of Milan. Our approach ensures every step of the jeans-making journey adheres to stringent sustainability standards, embracing zero-centimeter manufacturing.

All fabrics are responsibly sourced from our headquarters in Robecchetto con Induno, and all other materials and accessories are procured within a 238-kilometer radius to minimize our carbon footprint. By creating jeans on demand, we eliminate overproduction while maintaining focus on the environmental impact of our garments at the end of their life cycle. We utilize biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable materials and ensure complete transparency by showcasing our production process in the factory windows and fully tracing the supply chain.

Our micro-factory also serves an educational purpose, allowing clients to design their jeans while gaining insight into the entire process and supply chain. This experience fosters an appreciation for the quality, innovation, and sustainability behind the denim industry, helping clients recognize the true value of their garments.

We offer classic fits, designed to endure beyond seasonal trends, that clients can customize, choosing specific modifications to suit their body types. They get to select their preferred denim fabric and wash, customizing their garments with chosen buttons or zips, rivets, threads, and back patches. They also have the option for personal touches, such as their initials embroidered or a name/logo lasered on the back patch.

Candiani Corner 

Candiani Corner is our new multi-brand store located at Piazza Mentana 3 in Milan, at the intersection of Via San Sisto. This store embodies the vision of our president, Alberto Candiani, and features art direction by Paolo Bertacchi, the founder of the Bolognese concept store La Ferramenta. The interior design is crafted by Luca Piccinno.

At Candiani Corner, you’ll find exclusive collaborations from Candiani, along with a carefully curated selection of apparel and accessories that reflect the distinctive style of La Ferramenta. Concrete, steel, and glass create an industrial atmosphere, while the large windows facing Piazza Mentana connect the new space to the vibrancy and elegance of Cinque Vie.

Custom jeans 

The 2025 range includes custom jeans and denim jackets and jinbeis. These differ from our made-to-measure offerings, as we begin with pre-produced garments that can be customized almost live.

Clients have the ability to select the length of their jeans and choose their preferred hardware, such as buttons and rivets. They can also customize their back patches or add embroideries. A similar customization process is available for denim jackets, which can be personalized with buttons, back patches, and embroideries. Additionally, jinbeis can be customized with lasered pockets and embroideries.

Our custom jeans offerings include:

• Chino jeans: crafted from lightweight selvedge denim (11 oz.) for comfort and a sophisticated look, made with regenerative cotton for a premium feel and durability
• Regular jeans: made with raw selvedge denim (14 oz.), capturing the traditional weight of workwear and showcasing authentic yarn characteristics with regenerative cotton for a premium feel and durability
• Stretch denim: liken to authentic 100% cotton, featuring a stretch core made from bio-based and recycled materials, ensuring comfort and fit with regenerative Blue Seed cotton for softness and durability

Jinbeis are crafted from fabrics that have undergone denim shrinkage tests, allowing for the avoidance of new, virgin materials. This approach helps reduce textile waste and promotes the upcycling of denim fabrics. Our trucker jackets come in various fabrics and are available in a range of colors such as dark and washed indigo and black, chocolate, and ecru. 

Barbershop 

Our store is located in a vibrant neighborhood that offers a wide range of activities, and we aim to provide our customers with the best experience possible. While you wait for your hem to be ready or for your family and friends to design their dream jeans, you can also customize your hair and beard style—just like you can customize your jeans!
