We’re excited to partner with brands, designers, and suppliers who share our passion for creating a more sustainable fashion industry. Together, we’re on a mission to reduce environmental and social harm without compromising the iconic style and outstanding performance that our luxury denim is known for around the globe.
The creative process behind luxury collaborations
Candiani is known as an ingredient brand. Ingredient brands produce essential components that are used to create finished products. However, they also have a strong identity and are easily recognizable. Their components are of high quality, providing added value and superior performance to the final products. In fact, these ingredients can be a crucial factor in consumers’ purchasing decisions, helping to build and enhance trust in the brand.
At the heart of our mission as a luxury denim fabric producer is a commitment to collaboration—working hand-in-hand with brands, designers, suppliers, and other key players in the fashion industry. We don’t just aim to thrive in the B2B sector; we strive to transform our innovative textile advancements into unique premium jeans and concepts that resonate with consumers and create a positive impact through their striking designs.
Each collaboration is built on a shared vision dedicated to enhancing sustainability within the fashion world. Our goal is to elevate consumer awareness about the important issues we champion by seamlessly blending ethics with aesthetics. Together, we’re leading the charge toward a more responsible and captivating future in fashion. In the following paragraphs, we will outline some of our latest and past collaborations.
Candiani’s current collaborations
Garment Workshop
Garment Workshop is a young brand that prioritizes made-in-Italy quality and transparency. Our collaboration focuses on upcycling, utilizing high-quality unsold selvedge denim fabrics to minimize waste and encourage the use of durable materials. The first release from Garment Workshop features two styles: a workwear-inspired carpenter jean and a classic 5-pocket fit, which is available in two different colors.
Triarchy
Triarchy is dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of the denim industry. As a brand that refuses to use plastic materials, they temporarily halted the use of stretch denim fabrics. However, with the introduction of our patented COREVA™ technology, Triarchy has successfully reintroduced stretch denim fabrics to their collection. This innovative technology creates the world’s first plastic-free and compostable stretch denim.
In 2023, they launched their inaugural collection featuring fabrics made with COREVA™ technology and currently hold exclusive rights to its use in North America. During the Green Carpet Fashion Awards held in Los Angeles in March 2024, supermodel Amber Valletta wore a bespoke denim dress crafted by Triarchy with COREVA™ fabrics. She announced that the guests would be enjoying pasta seasoned with tomatoes grown by Quintosapore, using scraps generated from the COREVA™ denim.

Velasca
Velasca has launched a denim capsule collection in collaboration with Alberto Candiani. This brand is dedicated to providing footwear and apparel crafted with traditional Italian artisanal quality for long-lasting style. The Alberto Candiani x Velasca collection includes a field jacket, a casual overshirt, and chino trousers, all available in various colors. The collection pays tribute to the rich history of Italian denim and reflects its most authentic character.
MADH
MADH was established by a global collective of individuals passionate about innovation and committed to pushing the denim industry beyond its limits. Their garments are designed to be unisex and timeless. In 2024, MADH launched a denim collection made with Spanish regenerative Blue Seed cotton, our proprietary seed developed by Gowan Seed Company.
Blue Seed cotton is a non-GMO hybrid variety created by combining resistant Upland cotton with high-quality extra-long staple cotton. This hybridization leads to a phenomenon known as heterosis, or hybrid vigor, which results in enhanced biological functions compared to the parent plants. As a result, we achieve fabrics that are durable, soft, and of high quality. We have exclusive access to Blue Seed cotton, allowing us to allocate it to selected farmers and ensure that our entire supply chain is traceable.

Manifattura Ceccarelli
Italian craftsmanship is what sets Manifattura Ceccarelli apart. Their strength lies in redefining outerwear with a contemporary and innovative twist, a vision that aligns perfectly with their partnership with Candiani and Halley Stevensons.
The capsule collection Water-Repellent and Warm Denim features raw denim that has been treated for waterproofing while maintaining its traditional characteristics and aesthetic appeal. This ensures comfort and protection from environmental elements. Additionally, the internal components of Manifattura Ceccarelli’s garments are made from exclusive materials, including pure wool padding from sheep raised in Italy, 90% wool fur, and a 100% cotton tartan fabric lining.
Blue Blanket
The Blue Blanket x Candiani RISERVA is a selvedge denim capsule collection that delves into the rich history of jeans, tracing their Italian origins and incorporating elements from two countries that later influenced this iconic garment: the United States and Japan. Antonio Di Battista, the founder of the denim heritage brand Blue Blanket, has meticulously selected key pieces from his impressive archive and recreated them using fabrics woven on original shuttle looms.
This collection emphasizes both authentic aesthetics and ethical considerations. It is designed to last as long as possible, thanks to the high quality of its raw materials, and is intended to be worn raw, allowing the denim to showcase its natural beauty over time.
Candiani’s past collaborations
Our past collaborations have involved a diverse array of brands, designers, and denim enthusiasts who are committed to innovation, sustainability, and creativity. The collaboration with Steve Aoki and Dim Mak blends them all. This limited edition collection features jeans made from our award-winning ReGen fabric, which is crafted entirely from recycled materials. These jeans are also hand-painted by the world-renowned DJ and his Dim Mak artists, demonstrating that sustainability can be both exciting and stylish.
Additionally, we are part of multi-stakeholder initiatives such as the Monitor for Circular Fashion. In this initiative, we developed a pilot project in collaboration with Vibram to create a component shoe. This shoe was designed according to eco-design principles and consists of only five components that can be easily disassembled, repaired, and recycled at the end of their life cycle. The upper part of the shoe is made from upcycled denim sourced from Candiani Custom’s production, while the sole is created using natural materials that are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. The upper and sole are connected by laces made from cotton and TENCEL™.
The use of progressive materials is crucial to our vision for transforming the denim industry. We have partnered with Pangaia, a lifestyle brand that focuses on a scientific approach to materials, to create a collection made from selvedge denim fabrics that incorporate Himalayan nettle and organic cotton. Nettle fibers are not only highly durable but also soft to the touch, and their hollow structure makes them breathable. These fibers are sourced from the mountain forests of the Himalayas. The sustainable management of this wild crop helps absorb CO2 from the atmosphere and stabilizes the landslide-prone slopes of the region. Additionally, harvesting by local farmers during the low season provides them with an extra source of income.
While sustainability and innovation are integral to all our collaborations, some projects focus more on denim heritage and its authentic characteristics. In partnership with our friend Ruedi Karrer, also known as the Swiss Jeans Freak, we created a limited edition to celebrate his 60th birthday. Ruedi’s passion for denim is unparalleled; he has even opened a museum in Zurich featuring over 14,000 denim pieces! For this edition, he designed his own fit using a fabric we created specifically for his birthday, which has been named after him. One of Ruedi’s favorite aspects of denim is its capacity to fade according to the wearer’s habits. That’s why his jeans are left raw, meaning they arrive in stores (almost) straight from the loom.
