The new FW23 capsule collection Valstar x Candiani is now available! The historic Milanese brand of men’s luxury outerwear chose our fabrics to give new life to two iconic garments celebrating Made in Italy heritage, craftsmanship, and quality: a workwear-inspired overshirt and a US hunting jacket.
About Valstar Milano
Valstar was founded in Milan in 1911 as a luxury men’s fashion house and has, especially, a long tradition in producing outerwear. Made in Italy craftsmanship and innovation are among Valstar’s central values, which aims to create pieces that last a lifetime.
About the Candiani Denim fabrics used by Valstar
The capsule collection Valstar x Candiani revised an overshirt and a hunting jacket from the archive of the Milanese brand. The workwear-inspired denim shirt was enriched with recycled padding and is resistant and comfortable. The jacket has a contrasting suede collar and the typical maxi pockets US hunting apparel adopted from the 1950s.
To manufacture its garments, Valstar chose three non-stretch Candiani Denim fabrics distinguished by the authentic aesthetic searched by the men’s clothing brand. The batavia construction makes these fabrics more refined and softer, so they can quickly adapt to the body and facilitate movements. Moreover, the batavia structure emphasizes color saturation since warp prevails, enriching its shade.
Among the natural colors of the collection, dyed on ecru denim, the original dark indigo made with our N-Denim technology, in which N means nitrogen, stands out. This progressive no-fade technique delays the oxidation process and accelerates dye penetration into the yarns so it can be fixed in-depth and, hence, does not fade.
Both the overshirt and the jacked are offered in two different colors and equipped with our Golden rivet, the tool we conceived for those brands, such as Valstar, which respect some specific sustainability and craftsmanship standards in their production.
The capsule collection Valstar x Candiani is available at the flagship stores of the two companies and on the website valstarmilano.com.
