The year 2025 has begun with exciting news from the Candiani Denim Store: we are now offering customizable jeans, denim jackets, and jinbeis. While our made-to-measure jeans are crafted from scratch, our customizable garments are pre-produced but can be personalized in (almost) real-time with your choice of hardware and details. Let’s explore how this works!
Customizable jeans
Jeans are our bestsellers and a favorite among denim enthusiasts. Our customizable men’s jeans are divided into three main categories:
- Chino jeans: crafted from lightweight selvedge denim (11 oz.), these jeans offer both comfort and a sophisticated look. The use of regenerative cotton ensures a premium feel and long-lasting durability
- Regular-fit jeans: made with raw selvedge denim (14 oz.), these jeans capture the traditional aesthetic of workwear while showcasing authentic yarn characteristics. They also incorporate regenerative cotton for a premium feel and durability
- Stretch denim: this variety features a stretch core made from bio-based and recycled materials, providing comfort and a great fit without sacrificing the true appearance of denim. They are made from regenerative Blue Seed cotton, ensuring softness and durability
Clients have the option to customize their jeans further by selecting the hem length and hardware. They can choose from buttons and rivets in gold, silver, copper, black, or white. You can also select one of our exclusive jewel buttons by Nove25. Additionally, customers can pick a back patch in a cocoon, natural, dark brown, indigo, or black color, and they can decide if they want a name or logo laser engraved on it. Finally, they have the choice to have their initials embroidered in their preferred color. Our customizable jeans start at a price of 195 euros.
RISERVA Heritage Chino
Did you know that chino pants originated in the military during the 19th century? Around 1840, British soldiers stationed in the Indian colonies wore early versions of modern chino pants, which were dyed khaki using spices and coffee. This color may have been chosen for two reasons: to hide dust stains that settled on white garments or to help soldiers blend into their surroundings.
The term chino emerged a few decades later in the Philippines. US soldiers in the Philippines and Cuba wore comfortable, durable khaki chino pants during the Spanish-American War of 1898. These pants were made from 100% cotton twill, primarily imported from China. In Spanish, which was the official language of the Philippines at that time, the word chino means Chinese.
Chino pants continued to be popular among US Navy and Air Force personnel during World War II. After the war, surplus military clothing flooded the US market, turning chino pants into a fashion statement. Hollywood stars embraced them, and they became a staple of preppy style. This cultural shift was rooted in the dress codes of Ivy League schools in the 1950s and 1960s, reflecting the post-war college environment. Today, chino pants are a wardrobe staple and can be made from a variety of fabrics, including denim.
We offer customizable jeans that feature a classic flat-front chino fit with a 20-cm bottom opening. They come in different denim fabrics:
- Three selvedge lightweight denim options: these are designed for those who want to retain the timeless appeal of traditional denim, even on warm days. You can choose ecru for the natural color of cotton, indigo for the authentic denim hue, or black for a darker look
- A limited-edition 12 oz. selvedge dark blue denim fabric: this material preserves the authentic aesthetic and durability of traditional denim while being lighter in weight. Selvedge denim features a unique edge that many enthusiasts seek, typically characterized by a white band with colored stitching, although it can now come in various colors and constructions
- A limited-edition no-fade selvedge denim fabric: made with cotton and TENCEL™ Lyocell, this fabric is designed to retain the raw look of new denim throughout the entire jeans’ life. It utilizes advanced technologies that allow the dye to penetrate deeper into the yarn, ensuring a rich and vibrant color
Selvedge chino jeans start at a price of 215 euros.

RISERVA Heritage Regular
This is our most traditional collection. 5-pocket, regular-fit jeans are a classic style that almost everyone has owned at some point. They originated from the riveted work pants patented by Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss in 1873. These jeans typically have a consistent width from hip to ankle, although some designs may be slightly tighter around the ankle to differentiate them from straight-leg jeans.
Regular-fit jeans are among the most popular and beloved denim styles because they are universally flattering, suiting any body type. They are versatile, easily dressed up or down, and comfortable, providing great freedom of movement while maintaining a polished appearance. The choice of fabric is particularly important to enhance these characteristics.
That’s why our customizable regular-fit jeans are available in selvedge denim fabrics, which offer an authentic aesthetic. Selvedge denim is woven on traditional shuttle looms, which have largely been replaced in the industry by faster and more efficient full-width looms since the second half of the 20th century. Shuttle looms operate more slowly, produce less precise combs, and maintain a more relaxed yarn tension. However, they are the origins of denim production and create the distinctive edge found in most traditional denim fabrics, preventing them from fraying.
Our regular-fit jeans feature a classic 5-pocket design and are made from 100% cotton rigid selvedge fabric, honoring the legacy of denim. You can choose from a variety of colors, including a classic ecru, a deep indigo with a red tint, a medium-dark indigo with a green hue, and a black sulfur shade.

Soft Core
If you find conventional rigid jeans too stiff and rough for your liking and prefer softer, more flexible fabrics, stretch denim is the perfect choice for you. It offers a flattering fit that enhances your body shape, providing great comfort and freedom of movement, as well as a soft feel against the skin. Additionally, it is designed to maintain its original shape over time, even after multiple wears.
Our new collection of stretch denim mimics the authentic look of 100% cotton denim while incorporating the benefits of premium elastic fabrics. It is made with regenerative Blue Seed cotton, ensuring both softness and durability, and features LYCRA® T400® EcoMade, which is produced using bio-based materials and recycled plastic. This stretch core offers long-lasting comfort and fit.
We have two options available in dark indigo and black colors, perfect for creating chino pants or slimmer 5-pocket jeans for a sleek and polished appearance.
We always emphasize the importance of investing in high-quality denim, as jeans are intended to last and become more beautiful over time. Choosing premium stretch denim is even more crucial since low-quality elastic yarns are often weak and prone to breaking more easily than 100% cotton materials. Premium stretch denim enhances the qualities of elastic fabrics, ensuring that your jeans are both durable and long-lasting.

Customizable denim jackets
A classic denim trucker jacket is the perfect choice to complete any outfit—don’t you agree? Levi Strauss & Co. created this iconic piece at the end of the 19th century, aiming to provide durable workwear for laborers enduring tough conditions, just like the newly invented jeans.
That’s why we have expanded our collection to include a range of such denim jackets inspired by timeless designs. They feature a pointed collar with button-down fastenings, two chest flat pockets, and two side pockets.
Our genderless denim trucker jackets are available in various colors to suit anyone’s preferences. You can choose from dark or light blue, deep or washed black, ecru, and chocolate, depending on your taste. Additionally, you can customize your jacket with your choice of buttons, embroideries, and a personalized back patch. Our customizable denim jackets start at a price of 250 euros.

Customizable denim jinbeis
Our new customizable offering includes denim jinbeis that are thoughtfully crafted from fabrics that have undergone shrinkage testing to minimize the use of new, virgin materials. This approach promotes upcycling practices and helps reduce textile waste.
Japan, along with Italy and the United States, has played a significant role in the history of denim, and our jinbeis pay homage to this tradition. They come in classic indigo and overdyed green colors, and you can also customize them with lasered pockets inspired by distinctive Japanese designs, as well as geometric Western patterns and embroideries. Our customizable denim jinbeis start at a price of 130 euros.
You can wear our genderless denim jinbeis with or without their belt, allowing you to add a personal and unique twist to your perfect denim look! Our customizable garments are all available in our store at Piazza Mentana, 3, Milan.
